At this time on our land we have never needed nature more, as we have never been so disconnected from it. Spending time in nature creates proven links to increased happiness, improved health and greater sense of self.

Kerry Walker founded The Nature Hub to create a platform to link together different nature based practices, and to offer an outlet for people to reconnect to the outdoors.

About Kerry

Kerry Walker is a passionate Forest School Leader, Forest Bathing Guide, Forest Therapy Practitioner and an Art Therapist.

She currently lives on the South West Coast of Ireland, where she experiences the daily language and connection of natures landscape. She feels strongly that this connection with nature and each other is vital at this moment in time.

Her appreciation for nature and art has brought her on creative journey’s around the world. She has facilitated creative arts programs in Spain, India, Ghana, Guatemala and Chile, with a focus using art and nature as a tool for integration, connection and awareness.

She found herself returning back to Ireland to complete her Masters in Art Therapy in 2012. Through this training she became interested in the effects nature can have within the healing process. It was through this curiosity that she came across the practice of Forest School. In 2015 she became a certified Forest School leader and then co-founded Down to Earth Forest School, a nature based educational programme where children were supported to learn and create through nature. She then went on to complete her training in Forest Therapy with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy.

She is now an apprentice trainee and mentor with the Forest Therapy Institute. She has completed a year long training in Wild Therapy and Ecopsycology, Therapeutic Play Skills for Children, and most recently trained with the Therapeutic Forest to support children with additional needs in the outdoors.
