Each toddler group session will be guided by a nature theme. We start by gathering in a circle to sing songs. Then we have time for free play and messy play in the mud kitchen, time to swing on the tree swing or lay in the hammocks. Then we gather together to do some nature crafts, have a snack and story time. Then we sing songs to say goodbye. It is based on the ethos of forest school, which focuses on following the childrens’ lead and child-led, risky play. So I may have a ‘plan’, but it may very well change very quickly!
